Cooling Tower Approach For Better Performance

When we talk about the efficiency of a cooling tower, a number of factors plays a vital role. Factors like temperature range and more importantly cooling tower 'APPROACH' needs to be understood.

Approach in Cooling Tower is the difference between outlet temperature of cooling tower and ambient wet bulb temperature. The ‘Wet Bulb Temperature’ is the temperature at which the air is fully saturated.

'Approach' is an important factor in the water cooling process. Experts say that 'Approach' is a great indicator of cooling tower performance. Therefore, standard design is considered at 4 °C  Approach. Cooling Towers can also be designed for Lower Approach depending on application and prevailing duty conditions.

However, a number of factors affect the cooling tower approach in working condition. The main three variables are heat load i.e. the amount of heat removed by the tower, the tower size and air flow. To achieve better performance on site you may contact our registered cooling tower manufacturers. They are well-versed with the state-of-the-art cooling technology to help you with customized product as per your requirement.
