Cooling Tower Shell, Speed Reducer, Splash Bar

Take a look at the following important parts of industry cooling equipment starting from S
  • Speed Reducer- It is a mechanical device, placed in between the driver and the fan of the tower. It is designed to reduce the speed of the driver to an optimum speed for the fan.
  • Splash Bar- It is generally flat in shape or may be formed into a shaped cross-section for improved structural rigidity and heat transfer capacity. Due to its flat shape it is also referred to as slats or lath
  • Shell- It is a chimney-like structure used to induce air flow through a natural draft tower. It is sometime referred to as 'stack' or 'veil'
  • Stack- It is an extended fan cylinder whose primary purpose is to achieve elevation of the discharge plume.
