How Water pH Balance Affect Cooling Tower Performance ?

When water gets contaminated, dirt settles down in the cooling tower water basin. As a result, scale formation takes place.

Known to all, the water comes from different sources and the pH value may differ. Due to waste particulates, the water may face disturbance of pH balance and it may become too acidic or alkaline. The alkalinity of water lets calcium or magnesium to get deposit on the pipe, creating scales. After the scale build up, it traps oxygen causing corrosion.

Excessive scale buildup may cause biological growth of microbes in between the pipes. Unless timely care is taken, the pipes may decay thereby damaging the entire cooling system.

One way to get rid of scale formation is to install scale ban which is far away from any chemical use. Non-chemical scale ban is available with CASE Group in India. Feel free to contact them!
