When it comes to maintaining an industrial cooling tower, the removal of scale deposits plays a vital role. Many of us might have a question in our mind, like, 'Why is it necessary to remove the cooling tower fill deposits?'

Fill deposits block the air passages and water stream. This results in the drop of effective surface area and thus, reduces the evaporation and the overall efficiency of the cooling tower. The principle of cooling tower is to maximize evaporation by which the remaining water is cooled down to the desired temperature. Scale deposits on the fills also results in pressure drop across the fill media resulting in higher power consumption for same air flows.
